Jedlička a Novák Rulandské modré 2008 výběr z hroznů

Tasting notes and scoring are almost identical to tasting from January this year so I will not reproduce it. If I compare it to Luis Felipe Edward tasted recently here This one has more acidity, it is not as smooth and coffee and vanilla style, rather balance between fruit and oak. What is more important it has good potential to age. (unfortunately this was my last bottle). I had the wine with prosciutto and tuscany wild boar salami which stinks like sore leg but I love it. I can only add that at this time of the year the most fantastic wine for me is PINOT NOIR!!!!!!!

Chateau Sainte-Marie Vieilles Vignes Entre Deux Mers Bordeaux 2009 AOC

Variety: 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Semillon, 5% Muscadelle
Country of origin: France
Wine appellation: Bordeaux, Entre Deux Mers
Vintage: 2009
Alcohol content: 13.0%
Color: medium yellow
Bouquet: mineral, gooseberry, lime, supported by nice spiciness
Taste: medium body, very neutral  good minerality with white current and gooseberry, at the end white grapefruit and touch of bread and spices,  medium finish
Recommended food pairing: oysters
Overall score: 81
Price: CZK 300
Stopper: single piece cork
I cannot get the taste for white Bordeaux. This wine should be accompanied by food not to drink alone as it is quite neutral and mineral. What I miss is the vibrancy, acidity and of fruitiness of cooler climate whites, but this cannot play the role in evaluation as you must consider the terroir.

This is amazing value wine!! Apparently coming from the edges of the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation so it cannot receive more than table wine classification. This is far from table wine you may think of, there is so much in it, it has complex nose with earthy and animal tones and excellent structure in the mouth. This will never be copied in new world wines. New world winemakers actually claim this is fault of the wine, but I do not give a shit as I LOVE IT!!!!!. considering the price this wine is no way comparable to basic CDR tasted 30 minutes ago here, which costs almost the same.

Noemie Goichot Cotes du Rhone 2009

It is predominantly fruity lighter type of PN, which is reflecting difficult 2010 vintage. It is nice break from heavy fruity reds. To get rounder and better I would leave it at least 3 years to age, it has nice acidity to hold it. However this was single bottle that I received from my business partner.

I found the bottle in the cellar and was not sure whether it will be still OK considering 1999 vintage. but when I pulled the long single piece of cork I was hoping it would be OK and it was! I was amazed by the tannins and acidity which made the wine hold perfectly together making it very enjoyable experience. I personally would not on blind tasting guess it is a Bordeaux, rather Nebbiolo.

This is replacement bottle as the first one had a cork taint. This one is fine and for me this is big surprise due to still ruby red color and mostly considering extremely hot 2003 vintage with very good acidity. The wine is predominantly fruity, but nicely round and balanced with smooth tannins.
P.S. The cuvee was made for President of the Czech republic Vaclav Klaus, hence the name Lany, which is the summer residence for presidents in the CR.

Helfensteiner (Frühburgunder × Trollinger) and Heroldrebe (Blauer Portugieser × Lemberger [Blaufränkisch]) were both crosses created some decades earlier by Herold.

I really like this Dornfelder. it is so rich and dense with huge forest fruit and plums flavor that it must be loved by women, almost no tannins with good acidity balancing it and making it dull.
