This was absolutely stunning Pinot Noir. The color is very pale with bricky tones and the bouquet was very expressive and gentle at the same time, red fruit, strawberries, smooth and surprisingly the alcohol was not standing out at all probably due to very high extract. I only have one more bottle of this Pinot, how sad:(. I really liked it. Info from the winery about the extract: 26.2g/l.

Very mineral type of vlassky ryzlink. It is nicely aged but given the higher acidity of 2004 vintage it holds perfectly together.

Concha y toro never disappoints us. This is very nice, balanced, fruity chardonnay in bouquet,  This wine benefits from the aging in my cellar. You can get 2008 vintages in the supermarkets now. I also like the fact that despite being the base row it is sealed with real cork, which, given my experience, is absolutely best stopper for aging, followed by screw top and then vinolock (glass stopper). Plastic cork is absolutely unsuitable for aging. It leaks oxygen more than real cork. Majority of the wines in my cellar with plastic cork age about twice faster than those sealed with real cork.
Lenka picked this bottle and she was right.

Anakena Chardonnay 2005

Variety: Chardonnay
Country of origin: Chile
Wine appellation: Casablanca Valley
Vintage: 2005
Alcohol content: 13.5%

Taste: medium body, creamy, vanilla, butter, nuts, canned gooseberry, white grapefruit, very dry
Recommended food pairing: queso curado, matured cheese
Overall score: 82

This is very different from the previous chardonnay. In the nose its quite expressive, almost rotten fruit with nice vanilla tones. The taste is very different from the bouquet, it's extremely dry, creamy, buttery, lacks a bit of fruit characteristics.

Reva Rakvice Gallery Chardonnay 2005 pozdni sber

Nice wine for winter as it has sweet tones in bouquet, it is not typical zesty fresh chardonnay. It would nicely go even with the Xmas cookies :))))
