Bouquet: expressive, complex, overripe fruit, combined with nice minerality and herbal tones and honey
Taste: medium body, round, oily, very nice tones of ripe dry fruit, orange marmalade, minerality, nicely rounded by walnuts, medium to longer finish
Overall score: 4+8+12+6+7=87
Price: CZK 250
Stopper: single piece cork
Excellent mineral and properly bottle matured Welsh Riesling. Nothing more to add.

Vinařství Dufek Hibernal 2009 výběr z hroznů

Variety: Hibernal (Rhine Riesling x Seibel)

Color: medium yellow
Bouquet: canned lime peel,  linden tree blossom, hint of honey
Taste: medium to full body, round, oily, slightly lower acidity, lime, citrus fruit in canned form with hint of sugar,  white grapefruit, medium to longer finish
Recommended food pairing: pork schnitzel would be perfect
Overall score: 4+7+11+6+6=50=84
Price: CZK 180 in 2009
Stopper: single piece cork
If I compare it to 2007 vintage tasted in May 2013 and September 2012. This is more on sweeter and less fresh side of the scale. 2009 was quite hot vintage and the wine reflects that.

Tesco Finest Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Tasting notes and scoring is almost the same as in July 2013, the wine hardly moved.

Humberto Canale Estate Malbec 2006

Stopper: single piece cork
Not very good example of how Malbec can be done. The wine is going down already and feels pretty basic despite heavy bottle and single piece cork.

Chateau de Meaux Cahors 2004

Variety: 95% Malbec, 5% Merlot

Country of origin: France

Vintage: 2004
Alcohol content: 12.5%
Color: medium to darker red, hint of garnet at the meniscus
Bouquet: expressive, forest fruit, blackberries, plums, dark small wild cherries, hint of animal, nice wood
Taste: medium body, black sour cherries, blackberries,touch of black chocolate, excellent tannins, proper acidity, medium to longer finish
Recommended food pairing: sausage or smoked meat
Overall score: 4+8+12+6+7=87
Price: CZK 149
Stopper: plastic cork
This wine is amazing considering the price I bought it for ages ago.
