Gerard Bertrand Aigle Noir Pinot Noir 2008

Variety: Pinot Noir
Country of origin: France
Wine appellation: Languedoc, Limoux
Vintage: 2008
Alcohol content: 13.0%
Color: medium garnet red with lighter meniscus
Bouquet: hint of sour cherries
Taste: medium body, slightly harsher than one would expect for PN, hint of sour cherries, higher acidity,at the end unplesant tannins, pomengrate, medium finish
Recommended food pairing: I tried duck, but this is not good enough for duck
Overall score: 3+7+8+5+5+50=78
Price: CZK 200
Stopper: cork
This is exactly how pinot should not be made, color is slightly darker one would expect, nose just OK, but taste is totally nt representing the variety. Bought at Marks and Spencer from Gerard Bertrand who is very good with GSM style of wines, but not PN.
