Variety: Shiraz, Cabernet
Country of origin: Australia
Wine appellation: different regions in Australia (stated on the label:-))
Vintage: 2011
Alcohol content: 13.0%
Color: slightly lighter violet red
Bouquet: fresh fruit, cherries, hint of blackberries, not as much black currant one would expect, being blind I would guess more grenache in cheap cote du rhone wine than cabernet stated in the blend
Taste: medium body, there is just fruit and very young tannins, sour cherries
Recommended food pairing: BBQ with people who do not understand wine and want to get drunk:-)
Overall score: 2+7+8+5+4+50=76
Price: CZK 99 on special
Stopper: screw cap
I saw this one on Special and wanted to try this. This must be even cheaper version of the standard diamond row from Rosemount Estate. On the label it states it was bottled for UK market. Luckily I did not pay more than 100 on this and did not buy more than one bottle:-). Although it has Gold medal from Concours Mondial Bruxelles it is just BBQ wine, nothing more. I wonder whether this is also sold in Australia.
