Very nice example of reserva from Spain. Not having the complexity of Rioja, but also it is more reasonably priced. In the nose there are nice aged and bottled tones of old tawny port with visible vanilla and spices. In the taste it slightly lacks the complexity present in the taste, it is more straightforward and flatter, but still very nice with the dominance of canned cherries and plums with hint of vanilla. I remember tasting from the same producer 2002 Crianza, which was very different from this one.

It got unbelievably hot today, we had 28 degrees on the balcony so we decided to accompany our mushroom risotto with last rose this year. The wine definitely past its time as it goes towards this interesting mature tones of canned fruit and surprisingly coffee style of flavor.
