Wine appellation: Languedoc, La Clape
Vintage: 2009

Bouquet: a bit smelly, but not nice, more resembling old rusty steel cut by the saw (needs to air), visible alcohol  and cherries in rum , After one day of breathing it opened up and the bad smell breathed out, noe it shows oveeripe black cherries with forest fruit, but alcohol is lightly standing out
Taste: medium to full body, blackberries, black sour cherries with bitter ending, medium finish,  after one day of opening the taste is very similar to yesterday with much more structure and layers in it
Recommended food pairing: Steak
Overall score: 84 , after one day of breathing 86

Interesting wine, upon opening on 12th Nov not very enjoyable so I will re-taste it tomorrow. Today after 24 h of airing the wine really opened up with no bad smell at all and nose combines nice fruit and animal tones, it still has quite powerful tannins so I would definitely recommend to open it in 2 years time at least.
