We have been tasting Jacob's Creek chardonnays several times (see other December and January entries). This 2003 vintage is again from my cellar and I was interested in the difference between this one and the 2002 we tasted here. 2003 vintage is more toasty, you can feel more caramel and burnt tones. However, it is not dull, it is more toasty than vanilla style of chardonnay, accompanied with the overipe tropical fruits. Given its age the acidity remains nice.
