Variety: Syrah, Merlot
Country of origin: France
Wine appellation: Languedoc
Vintage: 2009
Alcohol content: 13.5%
Color: medium red with garnet hue
Bouquet:very strange, rusty metal, old workshop with rusty metal gadgets, no fruit at all
Taste: medium body, canned fruit, blackberries, cherries, some spices,  good acidity with firm tannins,  medium to longer finish
Overall score:4+5+10+6+6=81
Price: CZK 200

The wine has just very bad nose, whatever you can do it transforms somehow in the taste, which is not that bad. Airing the wine for 2 hours did not help at all. IT reminded me so much of my grandparents workshop with rusty saw, nuts, screws and even some vaseline.

  1. It was supposed to smell like that? It didn't suffer from spoilage?
