Variety: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
Country of origin: France
Wine appellation: Bordeaux
Vintage: 2003
Alcohol content: 12.0%
Color: medium red with garnet meniscus
Bouquet: canned cherries sour cherries with the hint of oak
Taste: lighter to medium body, cherries, still nice fruitiness and tannins considering its age, hint of marmalade, medium finish
Recommended food pairing: dry salami
Overall score: 82
Price: CZK 179 in 2005
Stopper: plastic cork
Very different from the bottle tasted in April of this year. This one is still fresh and not going down like the one in April. I suspect the previous bottle was flawed by the unsealed plastic cork, which could be confirmed by the fact that one month ago we drank the same bottle and the taste and nose was exactly the same as the tasting notes here.
