This is the 3rd sample of my petite degustation of CDR wines. This wine is the most matured and it shows both in the nose and taste canned fruit and marmalade. There could be debate if this or Domaine Saint Andéol Visan Cotes du Rhone Villages Préference 2007 AOC tasted as sample No.2 is better, but it would depend on personal preference. If you like more vivid ad acid style of CDR wines go for Visan, if you like more subtle and spicier style go for Cairanne. I scored both the same although they are quite different.
