Howcroft Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Country of origin: Australia
Wine appellation: Limestone Coast
Vintage: 2009
Alcohol content: 13.5%
Color: medium garnet red
Bouquet: not very expressive, strawberry marmelade at best
Taste: medium body, red currant, wild cherries, slightly thinner in the mid palate, no tannins, higher acidity, medium to longer alcoholic finish
Recommended food pairing: BBQ for teenagers:-)
Overall score: 3+6+9+5+5=78
Price: czk 210
Stopper: screw top
This really was a bad purchase, the wine looks like being made for cheap export with no character at all.  This is not a typical for Tesco Finest row, which is regularly very good and sometimes excellent. It probably shows the overproduction of wines in Australia and easy way to get rid of it without spoiling the local market prices.
