Judeka Nero 100 Nero d' Avola Sicilia 2008 IGT

Variety: 100% Nero d' Avola
Country of origin: Italy
Wine appellation: Sicily
Vintage: 2008
Alcohol content: 13.5%
Color: light to medium ruby red
Bouquet: cherries, sour cherries, slight spiciness
Taste: medium body, quite fruity and straightforward wine, sour cherries dominate the mid palate followed by red currant with slightly higher acidity with grapefruit at the end, medium to longer finish
Recommended food pairing: BBQ
Overall score: 3+7+10+6+5=81
Price: CZK 215
Stopper: single piece cork
This is more regular rather than upscale example of Nero d'Avola. Although having the best capsule, bottle and cork and highest price out of the three Italian wines tasted I do not think it deserves the price.
