Full bodied but austere at the same time, superb work with the barrique, which is fantastically absorbed by the fruit and playing the important role in the nose and taste and what I like it does not have the sweet vanilla element like NW wines, rather rustic, toasty, spicy. On blind tasting I would say it is Bordeuax, St-Emillion.
I hope you have a spare one in the cellar for tasting.
ReplyDeleteno, this cab franc was just one, but have older and better blends of cab sauv cab franc from the same winery
