Capel Vale Debut Pinot Noir 2006

Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Country of origin: Australia
Wine appellation: Western Australia
Vintage: 2006
Alcohol content: 14.5%
Color: bricky red wit orange meniscus
Bouquet: cherry preserve, hint of vanilla
Taste: medum to full body, wild sour cherries, vanilla, granate apple, slightly higher alcohol is burning a bit at the end of the palate, medium to long finish
Recommended food pairing: duck breast
Overall score: 4+7+10+6+6+50=83
Price: CZK199
Stopper: screw cap
I expected slightly more from this Pinot, it does not have big fruit, neither earth in it. The alcohol is slightly burning out at the end of the palate and the wine is a bit lacking the finesse of PN.
