Doña Paula Paula Naked Pulp Viognier 2008

Variety: Viognier
Country of origin: Argentina
Wine appellation: Mendoza
Vintage: 2008
Alcohol content: 14.5%
Color: straw yellow
Bouquet: very expressive, hazelnuts, apricot, orange marmelade, hint of herbs
Taste: full body, voluptuous, creamy and hazelnuty on the palate with stunning apricot and dry orange peel flavor, long finish
Recommended food pairing: Difficult to say Id have it with baked free range chicken made on thyme and other herbs, which would normally killed any other wine, also duck made with oranges would be good
Overall score: 5+9+13+7+7= 91
Price: CZK 250 on sale , unfortunately I bought only one bottle ;-(
Stopper: screw cap
Stunning Viognier at excellent bottle maturity, one of the best I tasted and I am sure this bottle would be decent competitor to big Viogniers from Cotes du Rhone valley.
