Rodinné vinařství Vrátil Rulandské šedé 2006 pozdní sběr

Variety: Pinot Gris
Country of origin: Czech Republic
Wine appellation: Moravia, Velké Pavlovice sub-appellation, Šakvice village, Písečný vineyard
Vintage: 2006
Alcohol content: 13.0%
Color: medium yellow
Bouquet: quite expressive, dry orange peel, hey, bottle maturity tones
Taste: medium body, round, nicely layered structure with very good acidity, lime, orange, no bitterness at all, just touch of residual sugar eductaed by the bottle maturity to behave like adult, very clean medium to longer finish
Recommended food pairing: chicken roll stuffed with dry tomatoes and spinach
Overall score: 4+8+12+6+6+50=86
Price: CZK 180 in 2007
Stopper: surprisingly screw cap considering its 2006 vintage
This is very nice example how PG should be made. I never tasted such good PG from outside Mikulov sub-appellation like this one is. It has proper nose, body, acidity, cleanness, and perfect bottle maturity.
