Vinařství Hřiba Chardonnay 2008 Exclusive pozdní sběr

Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Country of origin: Czech Republic
Wine appellation: Moravia, Velké Pvlovice sub-appellation, Čejkovice village, Odměry vineyard
Vintage: 2008
Alcohol content: 12.5%
Color: medium yellow
Bouquet: very strange, not as fruity one would expect only 2008 vintage, hint of canned pears, followed by strange cellar odor (it is not corked)
Taste: medium body, round, red apple, hint of residual sugar balanced by reasonable acidity, medium finish
Recommended food pairing: pork
Overall score: 4+5+8+5+3+50=75
Price: CZK 120 in 2009
Stopper: single piece cork
This was not pleasant drinking for sure. The wine has strange (faulty) nose and similarly in the taste it feels strange.
