Kovacs Ryzlink vlašský 2011 pozdní sběr

Variety: 100% Welsh Riesling,

Country of origin: Czech Republic
Wine appellation: Moravia, Mikulov sub-appellation, Novosedly village, Stará hora vineyard
Vintage: 2011, lotte 19/11
Alcohol content: 11.5%
Residual sugar: 7.0 g/l
Acidity: 0.6 g/l
Color: medium yellow
Bouquet: ripe apple, overripe tropical fruit
Taste: light to medium body, lean profiler, but missing the minerality and the straw element typical for Mikulov sub-appellation, very visible acidity despite very hot 2011 vintage (must be due to almost zero sugar level), feels unbalanced and not extractive,  medium finish
Recommended food pairing: fish
Overall score: 4+6+9+5+5=79
Price: CZK 150
Stopper: plastic cork
Quite disappointment. Generally it lacks the kick and extract. I do not understand the fact that it is from very hot vintage, grapes at very good sugar level, fermented to bone dry structure, it ha only 11.5% alcohol and not much in it in case of extract.
