Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Country of origin: South Africa
Wine appellation: Western Cape
Vintage: 2011
Alcohol content: 14.0%
Color: medium ruby red
Bouquet: very smoky, toast, roasted coffee, after that comes fruit such as cherries and black currant
Taste: medium body, spices, black pepper, black chocolate, red sour cherries, good acidity, black currant, medium to longer finish
Overall score: 4+8+12+6+6=86
Price: CZK 220
Stopper: cork
This wine had no nose when opened and it really needed 4 hours to air. I very much like it, but it would not be everyone's favorite wine, it has quite a lot of toasty aroma and less fruit. It is a pity that the cork is so bad quality as the wine needs at least 3 years to settle down.
