Country of origin: New Zealand
Wine appellation: Marlborough
Vintage: 2004
Alcohol content: 13.0%
Color: medium yellow
Bouquet: lime peel, pineapple,
Taste: medium body, fresh lime character supported by hint of tropical tones, mainly pineapple and grapefruit, very nice acidity combined with roundness and hint of bottle tones, medium to longer finish
Overall score: 4+8+12+6+6+50=86
Price: CZK 400
Stopper: screw cap
This bottle confirms that the wine does age under screw cap and it ages even better than under cork more slowly and evenly. This is for sure better for whites, where too much oxygen can cause harsher damage than in the reds. So here is a vote for screw cap for all white wines in the world!;-)

  1. Good advertisement for screw caps. In our last group tasting, the biggest advocate of corks brought a corked bottle! We all enjoyed the irony!
