Solaguen Reserva 2002

Variety: Tempranillo
Country of origin: Spain
Wine appellation: Rioja
Vintage: 2002
Alcohol content: 14.0%
Residual sugar: 1.9g/l
Acidity: 6.1g/l
Color: Ruby red
Bouquet: not very intense, quite fruity, cherries, hint of wood
Taste: sour cherries, red cherries, slightly higher acidity, medium body
Recommended food pairing: BBQ
Overall score:  77
Stopper: cork
This was the last sample of tasted wines and to be honest it was quite a disappointment. It lacked the complexity and was more fruity than I would expect from Rioja reserva.
