Vinho Tinto Egoista 2006

Variety: Grenache, Aragonêz, Syrah, Trincadeira Preta

Bouquet:animal tones, leather you can smell tannins followed by blackberries and sour cherries
Taste: medium to full body, quite high tannins, dark berry flavor mainly blackberries and sour cherries, slight pepper notes, coffee, black chocolate, medium finish
Recommended food pairing: T-bone steak

This wine is quite nice, the only problem it had it was probably opened too early as the tannins were quite high and masked the remaining fruit.  However I would expect them to soften within 2 to 3 years and then it would be nicely round with leather and spicy tones with cherries and blackberries fruit to underline it.
